In this blog you have raised a very valid point of the brain drain of all science and engineering branches towards the IT industry. I would like to bring out the point that as a nation we need to change our mindset of running behind the "In Sope" thing. That can happen only if we see good work happening in all sectors and we can expect good rewards from any sector we choose. This award is good but I think we must encourage the basic education system towards the same. I know that lot of work is already happening but we need to do more.
