Moser Baer to enter handset busineds
By ssemergic
Moser Baer did India proud by focsing on optical media manufacture ( CD DVD). Then they entered music business and brought high quality music and movies available for Rs 15 to Rs 45. It will be interesting if they can bring a mass market Indian brand handset (dominated by Nokia today)

Dear Sir,
Moser Baer is one company whose actions in the recent past have been very thoughtful and quite courageous (risky) as well.
I was reading in one of the issues of Forbes India Magazine some time back that they are investing a large amount of money in Solar Power. Both India and Abroad. They have spent some good money on acquiring a new technology in this field. They also recently bagged a deal from GOI to build the largest Solar Panel Farm in India.
This is very thoughtful of them given the urgency we all need to learn ways of reducing dependence on conventional energy sources. It is risky and courageous too given the leap this company is making from its existing comfortable position of celling CDs and other optical media.
regards
Sachin
